June 2020 Newsletter: Image Markup

We've rolled out a number of enhancements to make your work more productive. Read on for the details.

Recent Enhancements

  • Image Markup
    • Reformatted the layout of comments to make them cleaner and friendlier (make sure to add your user Avatar if you haven't yet!)
    • Separate scrollbar for comments so one can now see comments and images at the same time
    • Emailed links for markup comments now take you directly to the markup page and scroll to the specific comment
    • Mark comments as "Resolved" to let designers easily keep track of which comments they've handled and which are left to address
    • @mention a user in a markup comment to send an email notification
    • All pages of multi-page PDFs now thumbnail automatically when you first enter markup
    • Read more in the knowledge base article
  • Navigation improvements
    • Top section of the page freezes on scrolling, so always available
    • Top right of the page now hugs the right edge of the browser window, so you can more easily access Help and other tools
    • Left section of Reports, Calendar, and Settings is now collapsible
  • Cross-project dependencies (Enterprise license required). Link a task from one project to a task in another project.  Great for those working on campaigns with interdependent projects.
  • Projects
    • Filter for multiple users on Task List
    • Open approvals linked to a project are now closed automatically when the project state is changed to Completed (option under Settings - Projects)
    • % Complete now shows 99% (instead of 100%) for projects and summary tasks when between 99% and 100% (even if rounds to 100%)
  • Time tracking
    • Always show specific tasks on My Timesheet (from Add/Edit time page)
    • "More" menu (3 dots) on Add/Edit time page now includes a link to Task List
  • Reports
    • Completed Projects
      • Now shows only projects with tasks 100% complete, regardless of project state (Active, Completed, etc.)
      • Project links now go to that project on Task List
    • Responsible and Billable are now optional columns on Hours by Project
    • Description is now an optional column on the To-Do list
  • Other miscellaneous enhancements
    • We've made it much easier to edit workspace assignments on the Edit User page under Settings
    • The notes field now automatically saves your work when you leave the field
    • Notifications Inbox - new icons at the top to dismiss all items or mark read
    • We now log the IP address of the user when an account is disabled due to too many failed login attempts
    • New filter on Task List to show project state of "Active or inactive"
    • Added Create Date column on Add/edit Workspaces page in Settings
    • URLs in project request responses are now clickable formatted links

What We're Working On / Exploring

  • Working in multiple browser windows simultaneously. Currently, the most recent workspace used in one window is transferred to other open windows.  We're working to have each window remember its own workspace.
  • Reporting enhancements.  We're exploring alternative ways to present information -- flat, easily-sortable tables without groupings (e.g., for the To-Do List), activity counts over time, etc.
  • Board view for projects, as an alternative to list and Gantt views
  • Allowing tasks to have no start or end date
  • Enhanced flexibility in setting workloads by groups/individuals and blocking off days when an individual is not available (vacations, etc.)
