Project To-Do List

The Project To-Do List report shows the next steps (incomplete tasks) for each project. This report is particularly useful as an interactive view for tactical Managers whose main focus is keeping projects on track. Adjustments made working from this report are reflected elsewhere throughout Workzone.

This report organizes upcoming tasks by project, with the following columns displayed by default:

  • Clock icon - A task can have time tracked from this column, with a permanent icon displaying on rows with existing time entries
  • Paperclip icon - A task can have document attachments in this column, with a permanent icon displaying on rows with existing attachments
  • ITEM - Each task name is displayed here and clicking on the name opens the details tray for that task (clicking the share icon, that appears on hovering, will direct to the same task in the main Projects module)
  • Checkmark icon - A task can be marked complete from this column by clicking the gray icon, which removes that row from displaying on this report
  • USER - Task responsible parties are displayed here for each row
  • START DATE - The date a task is scheduled to begin
  • END DATE - The date a task is scheduled to finish
  • NOTES - Any additional information to communicate to those viewing a task can be added and displayed here

Optional columns to display

There are a total of four additional columns that can be displayed (or hidden) on the Project To-Do List. These columns are controlled by clicking the gear icon in the top right. The Columns to display box will appear, as seen below:

You can check the box next to each option to have that column shown (or uncheck to hide) and then click the blue Save button. Here are the specifics on each optional column:

  • Breadcrumb - This information can provide meaningful context when viewing a task, especially in situations where several tasks have similar or identical names but are located in different phases of a project
  • Project Priority - A one through ten value that can be set on a project (displays to the far right of the project title)
  • Project Category - Found in the same column as the task category (below), projects can be assigned categories, which allows for filtering projects into logical groupings
  • Task Category - Found in the same column as the project category (above), tasks can be assigned categories, which allows for filtering tasks into logical groupings

Filtering

Clicking the Filters button at the top provides different options to isolate and only display certain rows, as seen here:
